When we say "Ayurveda research should be conducted as per Ayurvedic principles", we often forget that these principles too can be the topics of research and maybe proven inadequate or wrong. Nothing should be deemed to be true without questioning and testing. This is what true scientific attitude teaches us. 

 

So far, most of the research in Ayurveda has dealt with therapeutics. So-called fundamental research in Ayurveda (including the research on Prakriti) has always been flawed because we have taken some of these theories to be true without testing them.
